All You Need to do to Model is to Show Up!
The Teen Board produces at least two fashion shows per year in the store, and some girls go on to participate in professional shows produced by Terry Costa. This is an opportunity to learn more about the fashion industry, publication, fashion show production, buying, fashion design, and more.

Terry Costa is inviting any female between the ages of 14 to 25 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to participate in modeling for our 2013 Terry Costa Homecoming Fashion Show, while also inviting any design students in the Dallas-Fort Woth area to participate in the design competition. We are challenging you to hit the runway and compete with other local design students to show off your talent, and design an upcoming prom gown, which will be presented on September 22, 2013! If you're interested in modeling you will have the chance to rock the runway, while styling one of Terry Costa's gowns, or one of the competing designer's gowns during the fashion show. Afterwards, the gowns will be on display at Terry Costa for a popular vote. The two scores will be combined and the winner will be chosen.

September 15th from 6pm-9pm for Models and Designers
September 19st from 7:30pm-10pm For Models and Designers
Fashion Show and Design Competition is September 22th at 7:30pm.

My Terry Costa Teen Board experience is very unique. When Teen Board began in 1998, I was only 8 years old. I would come with my older sister, Lauren, on Saturday mornings to listen to the different speakers. They would teach that confidence, beauty, and character are not just for the girls on magazine covers but also for strong women who know how to carry them selves. My first experience came in a small role as the flower girl in an ending bridal scene when I was 10 years old. Claudette, the outstanding fashion consultant at Terry Costa, always reminds me that I was the first flower girl for their show. Now that I am 20, and have had several years of training with the Board, I am very comfortable in my heels, on and off the runway.
Several opportunities have presented themselves for my continued growth - interning for Jan Strimple for Fashion in the Park, modeling in Trunk Shows for Terry Costa, and helping in the community teaching underprivileged girls hygiene and poise. Teen Board has taught me self-awareness and how to be comfortable in my own skin.
Apart from their gorgeous clothes, Terry Costa has gorgeous people; the staff here really believes in us and encourages us in every way. They are knowledgeable in their field and are very willing to share their wisdom with us. Outside of modeling, I have started my own clothing line, Classy Apparel. Terry Costa and Tina Loyd have shown me by example how to be a successful businesswoman.
The friendships I have made in Teen Board have lasted even when the shows are over, and I have even been reunited with an old friend through this experience. The more I participate, the more I love this adventure, and highly recommend it to anyone.
