TOP LOOK A LIKE DRESSES FROM THE EMMY AWARDS

Last Sunday’s 67th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards was its usual bevvy of glitz and glamour. Both starlets and TV veterans alike almost uniformly embraced a classic elegance befitting of the 60+ year tradition.

It seems long formal gowns were the order of the day, and we’re honestly stumped as to which we like best!

With homecoming on the horizon, we’re closing in on the dress thanks to a little inspo from these gorgeous dames.

Here are a few of our favs:

While it may take stunner Sofia Vergara considerable effort to master being funny in two languages, her beauty knows absolutely no barriers. Though we’re convinced she could make a burlap sack appear haute couture, she really slayed in this La Femme reminiscent strapless silver gown.

Kudos to Lady Gaga for retiring the meat dress and selecting this ultra sophisticated black jersey knit one shoulder gown instead. Not only did she look like a million bucks as she channeled greats like Marilyn with that platinum hair, we’ll also bet she was glad to don an outfit that didn’t require refrigeration.

Move over orange, the always stunning Laverne Cox has us convinced that blue is the new black! She looked positively statuesque in this teal blue cut out dress. From prison inmate to style icon, Cox gets our ‘best dressed’ award of the evening.

We were all smiles when funny girl Amy Pohler stepped on to the red carpet in this classic black crisscross column gown. With little jewelry save a few chunky bangles and a fabulous pair of chandelier earrings, she showed us that good fashion is no laughing matter.

We’re super fans of all around sweetheart Cat Deeley. Though she really stepped it up at Sunday’s ceremony when she wowed us with this sequin copper spaghetti strap dress. We think it really brings out her signature blonde mermaid hair!

Taryn Manning reminded us what a super babe she is outside her polarizing role as ‘Pensatucky’ on Orange is the New Black. This solid black cape dress is second to none in uniqueness and charm. We’re totally obsessed! Our sleeveless Terry Bowls option is also perfect for warm weather climates where even in fall temps can still be pretty steamy.

Stargate SG-1 actress Morena Baccarin looked out of this world in her fiery red lace pleated dress. We love the way it hugs her curves up top, then flares out at the empire waist with generous amounts of crimson chiffon.

‘It’ girl and Modern Family star Sarah Hyland was beyond darling in her burgundy off the shoulder dress. This black Sherri Hill version features the same fitted bodice and elongated off the shoulder straps with a sheer tulle skirt that’s perfect for getting a little ventilation on the dance floor!

When it comes to fashion, we think Laura Prepon can essentially do no wrong. At least not in this red satin mermaid cut gown. As if it wasn’t breathtaking enough on its very own, the dress packs quite a punch with a black and gold beaded bolero up top. Speaking of, if you’re as in love with the bolero look as we are, check out this baby blue short sleeve banded version by Sherri Hill!
