Seeing Stars: Best 2021 Golden Globe Dresses Coast-to-coast

Published on: Friday, March 5, 2021 05:30

Not even a global pandemic can stop Golden Globes fashion. Like so much of our lives, the bicoastal broadcast was partially virtual with many celebs logging in remotely. But that didn’t stop stars from going all out.

Dresses at the Golden Globes were every bit as glamorous as usual this year, even the ones photographed in a backyard instead of on the red carpet.

Every year, picking a favorite is difficult. The same holds true this year. So we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite Golden Globe Award dresses as inspiration for your next formal event.

Kaley Cuoco’s Sparkly Strapless Ballgown with Fitted Bodice

Let’s hear it for everyone’s favorite Flight Attendant. Full of her usual charm and pep, Kaley was a vision standing open air in this sparkly strapless ballgown. The fitted bodice and flowing A-line skirt reminds us of this Sherri Hill stunner. Though its sparkles are subtler and the teal color more vibrant, the silhouette is the stuff Globe dresses are made of.

Sofia Carson’s Color Block Dress

Sofia’s Globe dress is irresistible for two reasons: the pattern and the cut. No matter which element you love most; we have the lookalike Golden Globe gown to make your vision a reality.
Let’s start with this crazy cool color blocked black and white dress. Complete with a deep V-neck and fringe accents, it’s always red-carpet ready!

If you’re a one-shoulder dress kind of gal, you’re in luck. This Madison James gem features a similar silhouette and includes Ms. Carson’s signature shoulder bow.

Isla Fisher’s Neon dress

All eyes were on Isla when she stepped out in this vibrant neon pink dress. Of all the fashion from the Golden Globes, this one has a particular pop we can’t wait to get our hands on. We love the way La Femme has captured color and curves in this spaghetti strap fitted gown. Like the look but want to supplement with a little sparkle? Sherri Hill makes a one shoulder sequin number that’s a dayglo dream.

Sarah Hyland’s Off the Shoulder Red Ball Gown

Can’t walk the real red carpet? Follow Sarah’s lead and make your own – then match it! Her red off the shoulder Golden Globe dress is as insta-worthy as this sultry Sherri Hill doppelgänger. We love the way the fitted waistband cuts just under the bust, giving you lift and definition for the ultimate flattering fit.

Anya Taylor Joy’s Strappy Green Dress

All hail the queen. Netflix’s break out show about an orphan turned world chess champion was predicted to sweep the globes. No surprise its lead actress had one of the best golden globe dresses hands down. Its shimmery green fabric, crisscross back, and slight train are almost identical to this Morilee Prom dress. It’s only available online, so now’s your chance to elevate your look with this emerald exclusive.

Get the Star Treatment

Want to be the star of your prom? Sherri Hill’s new collection will have you radiating. Because stars don’t just appear on the red carpet – everyone needs a little limelight!  Here are a few of our favorite celestial Sherri Hill dresses that could easily double as dresses from the Golden Globes:

This one shoulder beaded beauty will catapult you to superstar status! Complete with a perfectly placed thigh slit to emphasize the two-tone pattern, this elegant gown will leave you with stars in your eyes. Trust us, pictures don’t do it justice. Try it on in person to see just how much it radiates.

The category is: Golden Globe best dresses. Featuring a sleek silver fabric that’s dripping with rhinestones, this Sherri Hill dress will have your date seeing stars. Dazzle from all angles from the modesty panel v-neck to the crisscross lace up open back and gathered train.

Ever been mistaken for a celebrity? You just might be in this strapless star-studded dress. Features a fun fringe accent across the thigh and a lace up back. The gown culminates in a slight train that will add an air of elegance to your look.

Let your inner California girl shine in this voluminous, tulle high low dress. The skirt is tiered and layered. The neckline is low. We wouldn’t be surprised to see this dress at the Golden Globes next year!
As the world waits to round the COVID corner, it’s nice to know some things – like Golden Globes style – never change. Hopefully next year all the fashions at the Golden Globes will be given the red carpet treatment they deserve.
